Our Story
It all began when DeVore Recruiting’s CEO, Sean DeVore was trying to come up with innovative new ways to reach and connect with prospective clients for his search firm. He had an idea to send handwritten notes out with a flier explaining his program.
The notes would be written on buck slips and would often include small promotional items like eyeglass cleaners and pens with his company name on them. But Sean’s penmanship is – let’s just say – not the finest, so he had his wife write those first few notes. He got a great response and realized he needed more people to do the writing, so he could do bigger mailings and make a bigger impact. So he hired a team of people experienced in decorative writing.

What used to be cold calls to ask for business turned into warm leads, as Sean discovered that people really responded to his handwritten notes. These prospective customers became clients and later, referral sources, all because of that simple but really engaging approach brought by warmly handwritten notes. And soon, other entrepreneurs were asking Sean how he did it… and if he could do it for them too. And that gave birth to TrulyHandwritten.
Now, Sean offers the same, high-quality buck slips and fliers, the same hand-addressed envelopes, and even printing discounts to clients in many different fields of business.
